The sheet music:
Lyrics
1. With the dawn of a new day
Comes the sun in the sky
With the dawn of a blue day
Comes a tear in your eye
With the song of a singer
Comes a lingering tune
But a love that will linger
Only comes with the moon, that’s why
Chorus:
I want you near, to have you here
When love comes in the moonlight
To have the right, to hold you tight
When love comes in the moonlight
Tonight, there is no time for sorrow
Tonight, who cares about tomorrow?
So, while we may let’s drift away
When love comes in the moonlight
2. In the glow of the sunrise
Is the soul of a smile
That will bring a “Good-morning”
To your heart for a while
In the hush of the twilight
From the heavens above
Comes a message of moonlight
It’s a message of love, that’s why
