Lyrics
1. Here’s the story of a broken romance
Long ago in Italy
All that lingers of that wonderful chance
Is just a memory
Refrain:
I dream of San Marino, on a sunny summer day
When such a charming person came and stole my heart away
We fell in love completely, ‘neath the blue Italian skies
I deram of San Marino, for it was a paradise
We planned hand in hand such a wonderland
That we were to share bye and bye
But fate came and shattered our wonderland
And I had to leave her alone to cry
I dream of San Marino even tho’ we’re miles apart
For back in San Marino I left my heart
2. Maybe one day I’ll go over the sea
To that paradise again
Every night in dreams that sweet memory
Beckons to me in vain
