A popular song from 1949
Words and music by Milton Leeds, Fred Wise and Dewey Bergman
The sheet music:
Accompaniment by James Pitt-Payne:
Lyrics
Buzz, buzz, buzz, hear ’em buzzin’
Like bees ’round a rambling rose
Buzz, buzz, buzz by the dozen
They follow wherever she goes
Refrain:
All the bees are buzzin’ ’round my honey
But my honey’s only sweet on me
They can keep their cars and keep their money
‘Cause we’re keepin’ steady company
They flock around outside her door
From every part of town
But she turns up her nose and turns them down
All the bees are buzzin’ ’round my honey
But my honey’s only sweet on me
Refrain:
All the bees are buzzin’ ’round my honey
But those buzzards better buzz away
How they carry on is really funny
‘Cause she promised me she’d name the day
When she walks down the street
And boys start giving her the rush
My little honeycomb gives them the brush
All the bees are buzzin’ ’round my honey
But my honey’s only sweet on me
