Stephen Foster songs

Considered the first full-time songwriter in the U.S. Stephen Foster began churning them out in 1844. His total output was 285 compositions. These MIDIs were prepared by Werner Tomaschewski. His website is no longer available, so they are presented here.

Many more Stephen Foster songs will be added here. Eventually, this list will be a nearly complete record of Foster’s output. Most of his songs were made in a sixteen-year period. He died at the young age of 37 in the final year of the Civil War.
